CabFare Launches CabFare Connect at NSW Taxi Industry State Conference
A recap of CabFare’s attendance at the NSW Taxi Industry State Conference, including the launch of CabFare Connect, TTSS processing, Tap to Pay and flexible driver payouts.

CabFare was proud to attend the NSW Taxi Industry State Conference, hosted by the NSW Taxi Council in Rooty Hill, Sydney on 22-23 March 2026.
The event brought together taxi networks, fleet operators, industry leaders and partners from across the sector. It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from fleets about the challenges and opportunities they are seeing across dispatch, payments and driver operations.
For CabFare, the conference was also an important milestone, with the official launch of CabFare Connect.
Launching CabFare Connect
CabFare Connect is the first open systems platform allowing any taxi dispatch system to connect to any payment system.
This is a significant step forward for the industry. As fleets and networks continue to modernise, there is growing demand for more flexible technology, better interoperability between systems, and stronger control over how payments move through the business.
CabFare Connect has been built to support that shift.
By creating a more open integration layer between dispatch and payments, CabFare Connect gives fleets and networks greater freedom to work with the systems that best suit their operation, without being limited by closed or fragmented setups.

Listening to the industry
At CabFare, we have been working in taxi and mobility payments for over 15 years, supporting the industry with payment solutions designed specifically for transport operators. CabFare’s broader market positioning highlights its long-standing focus on the Australian point-to-point transport sector, with solutions built around compliance, operational efficiency and payment flexibility.
Events like the NSW Taxi Industry State Conference are valuable because they create space for real conversations with the people running fleets and networks every day. These conversations help surface where the pressure points are, where the opportunities are emerging, and where the industry needs better tools.
Some of the key areas Arthur discussed during the conference included:
Increasing the value of a taxi business by controlling data
Flexible driver payouts, including instant settlement options
These are practical issues that matter to operators. They affect efficiency, cash flow, driver experience, reporting and the long-term value of the business.
A more connected future for taxi payments
The taxi industry continues to evolve, and payments are becoming a more important part of that transformation.
Fleets and networks are looking for ways to simplify operations, reduce friction, improve visibility, and create a better experience for both drivers and passengers. They also want more control over their data and more flexibility in how their technology stack is structured.
CabFare Connect has been designed with those needs in mind.
Rather than treating payments as a separate function, CabFare sees them as part of a broader operational ecosystem that should work seamlessly alongside dispatch, fleet management and driver payout workflows.
Thank you to the industry and our partners
Congratulations to Nick Abrahim and the team at the NSW Taxi Council on delivering a strong conference and bringing the industry together.
Thank you as well to the team and partners who continue to support progress in the sector, including Tze Cheng Chia, Angelo Moutzouris, Adam Thornley, Jason Lawrie, SmartMove Systems, Stripe and Tyro Payments.
It was great to be part of the event, to launch CabFare Connect, and to continue the conversation with fleets and networks about where the industry is heading next.
We look forward to building on that momentum and continuing to support the future of taxi and mobility payments across Australia.
